- There is MAJOR traffic every day now on Mission Village drive ever since one lane was removed to put in bike lane. It took me 20 minutes to drive less than 2 miles and its impossible to make a left hand turn out of our neighborhood. There is also SO much more housing being built, which is further impacting the traffic. This is becoming a quality of life issue for those of us living in Serra Mesa. The bike lane is rarely, if ever used. I've never seen anyone bike down this road, so the fact an entire lane was converted into a bike lane is ridiculous. We are a portal for several major freeways, and the stadium, and the traffic in our quiet neighborhood from 3pm - 5pm M-F is just nuts. Was there ever a traffic flow analysis done before the bike lane way put in? Or with all of the additional housing being built in our area? Its a major fail and makes us seriously consider moving out of the area.
